Some of my earlier painting work 2009

drunken soldier of Soviet Red Army



a 54mm figure from Andrea miniatures. it's painted with VJ color and oil color. I looked it as a study of painting that when I started to work with water color.



Ultramarines' sergeant


By the year 2009, I met warhammer 40K game, and full in love with it. I bought the "Assault on black reach" set from local hobby club, this sergeant is one of models of the set. Just tried to paint as NMM way.Be worked with VJ color too.


Ultramarines' Captain


He is from the black reach set also. I tried to freehand on more larger area, like the captain's cloak. This model let me won the 2009 Silver award ,Golden Dragon painting match, Peking, China.

PS: For the Great Firewall 's reason,visit the blogspot become harder and harder from PRC, I CAN NOT visit my own blog for more than one year. Till one day I received an E-mail which said there was a comment on my blog. I realized there still people liked to visited my blog. By then I tried to find a way to scale the wall. Thank you for your encouragement words, guys.
I will try to update this blog in coming days, both older and new painting work, sculptures.

    hello,

    your painting is the best. I love the space wolves!! so so nice. do you use brush or airbrush? what is your recipe for the grey armour?

    Hi, Matt,
    Thank you for your reply. Although I would use airbrush on large area and vehicle model, I prefer to use brushes on figures. About the grey armor , I use spacewolf grey, shadow grey, black, white (GW ), and some orange be added on shadow area as glint would be fine.
